Ride the
wild edge.

A small-group adventure motorcycle tour of Vancouver Island, British Columbia: eight days of rainforest roads, Pacific surf in Tofino, hot springs and open-water salmon fishing, with five other people you'll call friends by Day 2. Luxury canvas to sleep in. Everything else is gloriously not.

Part expedition. Part retreat.

All in. All together.

Most trips put you next to strangers and hope for the best. We build the bond on purpose. We open on Salt Spring Island with talks from professionals on confidence and connection, so by the first ride the group is already easy with one another.

Then the road does the rest. Long dinners, fires on the beach, hot water, cold plunges and one very good fishing story. Come for the adventure. Leave with people you actually want to see again.

Talks that matter
Day 1 sessions on confidence and bonding from professionals in the field. Speakers to be announced.
Fires and long tables
Shared meals every day and a fire most nights. No phones at the table, no one left on the edge of the group.
Stories and awards
The last night ends around the fire with crew awards, favourite moments and the stories you'll be retelling for years.
The wild side

Rugged on purpose.

Vancouver Island is not a tame place. Storm-fed surf on one side, a mountain spine down the middle, rainforest that swallows the road. We ride all of it, led by your host, with a dedicated support driver in the van and a plan B for every day.

A fleet built for the wild.

Every rider gets a BMW GS, the name in adventure riding. Our current model is the BMW F 700 GS, built for pavement, gravel and everything the island throws at you. We renew the fleet every two to three years, so the model will move up to newer BMW GS bikes over time and the one you ride may differ from the photo. A small fleet, one bike per rider, looked after between every trip.

Where we eat

Great tables along the way.

Most meals are included and planned. These are some of the places on our shortlist for the road, picked for the food and the setting. Menus, hours and seasons change, so the final stops are confirmed before each departure.

Rock Salt, Fulford Harbour. Scratch-made plates with ocean views from the dining room.
House Piccolo, Ganges. West Coast-Finnish cooking in a heritage building.
Salt Spring Island Cheese. Goat-cheese pizza at picnic tables beside the goats.

Port Renfrew

The Renfrew Pub. A waterfront pub beside the dock, with wrap-around patios over the bay and a ten-tap draught line-up for the end of a long ride.

Tofino

Wolf in the Fog. Seafood and foraged ingredients, with a celebrated cocktail and wine list.
Shelter. Local, seasonal and organic, from chowder to Salt Spring mussels.
Surfside Grill. Fish tacos and fish and chips beside beachfront fire pits.

Campbell River

Carve Kitchen & Meatery. Contemporary Canadian cooking, well reviewed by diners, for the night after the beach barbecue.

Victoria

Marilena Cafe & Raw Bar. A lively seafood tower and an award-winning wine list.
Brasserie L'Ecole. French bistro classics: steak frites and duck confit.
LURE Restaurant & Bar. Modern Canadian with Inner Harbour patio views.
Our own picks, not paid placements. We have no affiliation with the restaurants named.
Good to know

Straight answers.

How rugged is it, really?

Properly wild country, on proper roads. Expect long days, twisting mountain highway, changing coastal weather and real distances between stops. You need to be comfortable on a motorcycle for several hours. Your host leads every ride and sets the pace, a dedicated support driver is never far behind in the van, and every day has a plan B.

I don't ride. Can I still come?

Absolutely. Take the van seat and you join every stay, meal and activity for a lower price. Partners, friends and solo travellers all welcome. Talk to us if you'd like to swap in and out of the saddle.

Do I need a motorcycle licence?

If you take the rider seat, yes: a valid motorcycle licence (in BC, Class 6, or the equivalent from home). Tell us your experience when you enquire and we'll make sure the trip suits you.

Is it good for solo travellers?

It's built for them. With six guests and a first day designed around confidence and connection, solo travellers are usually the heart of the crew. A single supplement gives you your own room at the stops on the road, and everyone has their own wall tent on Salt Spring.

What if the weather turns?

West coast weather does what it likes. We watch conditions every day and adjust routes and timing for safety. Wet-weather gear is part of the kit, and rain is part of the story.

Who leads the trip?

Your host runs every departure personally: leading the rides, hosting the fires and looking after the six of you from airport pickup to farewell breakfast. A dedicated support driver follows in the van, so there is always a second pair of hands on the road.

When is the best time for a Vancouver Island motorcycle tour?

Our departures run from May to October. July and August bring the warmest, driest riding. May, June, September and October are quieter, with softer light and a better chance of coastal rain, and prices are lower. Every day has a wet-weather plan.

I'm coming from Europe. How do I get there?

Fly into Vancouver (YVR) or Victoria (YYJ) and the van meets you at the airport. Riders need a valid motorcycle licence, so tell us which licence you hold when you enquire and we'll confirm what you need. Guests from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France and across Europe are very welcome.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancellation and refund terms are confirmed in writing before any deposit is taken.
